EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 79,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a part time Respite Companion to join the Respite Companion program.

Salary: $17 per hour
Schedule: up to 6 hours per week
Location: Garden City, NY (This role will be remote but local to Nassau County).

What drives the core purpose of this job:

To provide “time off” for the caregiver of a home-bound elderly person.

What are the key responsibilities:

Participate in orientation and in-service workshops.
Provide supervision and companionship on an individual basis to elderly persons.
Assist care recipient with everyday routines such as eating, walking and light exercise.
Submit records and time sheets on a timely basis.
Report any problems which affect service to the Sr. Director or Program Coordinator.
Perform all other relevant duties as determined by Supervision and EAC NETWORK Administration.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate appropriately with elderly individuals.
