Remote Workstation Support Assistant — Part-Time

Compensation: $100–$200 per month per workstation, depending on availability and equipment
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable U.S.-based person to provide basic physical support for a dedicated Windows workstation used for authorized software testing, application reliability testing, and network-performance testing.
This is a simple support role. No programming or professional IT experience is required.
The workstation runs approved testing software that measures items such as connectivity, availability, latency, application performance, uploads/downloads, and system reliability. These are the same general purposes described in your existing posts.
What You Will Do
- Keep the dedicated workstation powered on and connected to the internet during agreed testing hours.
- Provide a stable internet connection; wired Ethernet is preferred.
- Restart the workstation or internet equipment if requested.
- Check basic power or network connections when necessary.
- Report internet, power, or hardware problems.
- Provide basic physical assistance when remote troubleshooting cannot solve an issue.
- Communicate with the technical team when support is required.
Requirements
- Reliable high-speed internet connection.
- Stable electricity.
- Safe indoor location for the workstation.
- Ability to keep the workstation online for agreed periods.
- Basic ability to restart a computer and check cables.
- Reliable communication and ability to follow simple instructions.
A dedicated Windows computer is preferred. Equipment arrangements can also be discussed if needed.
Security and Privacy
This role is limited to legitimate, authorized software-testing activities.
- The workstation is separate from your personal computer environment.
- Your personal email, accounts, documents, passwords, and private files are not required.
- The workstation will not be used as a proxy, VPN exit node, cryptocurrency miner, traffic-relay service, or for scanning unrelated networks.
- It will not be used to bypass employer security, identity verification, geographic restrictions, or other access controls.
- Remote technical access is limited to approved installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- You may disconnect the dedicated workstation if you have a security concern.
Compensation
Compensation is $100–$200 per month per workstation, depending on internet reliability, equipment, operating hours, and the agreed arrangement.
Additional workstations or a longer-term arrangement may be discussed after successful participation.
