We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Regional Marketing & Event Manager to join our Wealth Management team. This role could be located in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Newport Beach.
The position of Regional Marketing & Event Manager is primarily responsible for the driving the success of marketing priorities and initiatives in key regional markets through multiple marketing channels, with a focus on the regional events and sponsorship strategy.
The manager will work with regional leadership and marketing partners to build out strategy and drive priorities and presence, create a portfolio of strategic events and key sponsorships and drive with the highest brand standards within the regions covered. This role would specifically cover one of our major regions nationally – West Region (Los Angeles, CA, Newport Beach, CA, San Francisco, CA, Menlo Park, CA and Seattle, WA).
The event portfolio includes high touch client entertainment events (wine dinners, art tours etc.), seminars and roundtables with our internal subject matter experts, and industry sponsorships and conferences. This role would also include management of our third-party referral network (COI, centers of influence) national conferences, collaborating with our Advice, Planning and Fiduciary team to drive engagement and opportunities with our 3rd party sponsorship partners.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Partnership with other Marketing channels including brand, content, website, social media and PR
- Strategic planning for yearly events portfolio including content and program development with emphasis on ultra-high net worth audiences
- Responsibility for execution of logistics including venue, contracting, décor, materials, branding, AV for both in-person and virtual events
- Oversight of regional and national conferences’ budget within each location including vendor payments and overall tracking
- Analyze and report on the tracking and measurement of events through ROI reporting and dashboards
Due to the role supporting regions in which they would not be based, travel is a requirement for approximately 20% of the time where and when major events are occurring depending on and could increase with seasonality.
Critical skills include relationship building and focus on partnerships with regional leaders and front office staff, being outcome driven, continuously finding opportunities for efficiencies, the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously, strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Understanding of varying work environments with the ability to work independently – in the office, work from home, and work from event sites.
Ability to schedule and meet deadlines is critical as the position is exceptionally deadline sensitive based on the heavy emphasis on planning required.
Preferred Education: BS/BA Degree
Preferred Experience: 5-7+ years’ experience in event management, marketing and/or similar area, experience in financial services preferred but not required.
Other: Experience with CVENT or Event Farm and Salesforce
Demonstrated budget management experience required
