Part-Time
Job Description
Job description
About the Role:
At TELUS Digital, we believe Python is the language of the AI revolution. As a Python AI Logic Expert in our Global Community, you are the architect of algorithmic reasoning. Your mission is to train Large Language Models (LLMs) to master Python—not just for syntax, but for complex data science, automation, and machine learning workflows. You will join an elite group of engineers dedicated to ensuring that AI can write, debug, and optimize Python code that is secure, efficient, and enterprise-ready. At TELUS, you are teaching the models that will build the next generation of software.
What You’ll Do :
Algorithmic Instruction Tuning: Create and refine complex Python challenges to teach LLMs how to walk through “Chain-of-Thought” (CoT) reasoning for data structures and algorithms.
Logic & Security Auditing: Perform rigorous code reviews on AI-generated Python scripts, ensuring they follow PEP 8 standards and are free from security vulnerabilities or logical fallacies.
Data Engineering for SFT: Develop and optimize Python scripts to clean, structure, and augment massive datasets used for Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT).
Scientific & ML Library Validation: Evaluate how models utilize advanced Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn, ensuring high-fidelity mathematical and data outputs.
Bug Diagnostic & Resolution: Design “Broken Code” scenarios to test the model’s ability to identify runtime errors, logical bugs, and performance bottlenecks in Python codebases.
Qualification path
Mandatory Qualifications:
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or Applied Mathematics.
Technical Expertise: Advanced, expert-level proficiency in Python 3.x. Deep familiarity with decorators, generators, context managers, and the Python Standard Library.
Native Language: Native-level proficiency in your primary language is mandatory to assist in localized technical documentation and Pythonic prompt engineering.
English Proficiency: Minimum B1 (Intermediate) level English to collaborate with our global engineering leads and navigate technical PEP documentation.
Problem-Solving Mindset: A passion for clean code and a “Senior Specialist” mentality toward automated outputs.
Assessment
In order to be hired into our community, you’ll go through a subject-specific qualification exam that will determine your suitability for the position and complete ID verification.
Payment:
Currently, pay rates for experts range from $20 – $50 USD per hour
Our Payment terms are defined for each project.
Why Join the TELUS Digital AI Community:
