Full-Time Preventative Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The City of Oshkosh, WI is seeking to fill a vacancy for a Preventative Maintenance Technician. The work of the Preventative Maintenance Technician involves performing semi-skilled tasks related to the maintenance of gasoline, diesel, small engine and hydraulic powered equipment contained within the city’s fleet of vehicles and equipment.
Work mainly involves performing preventative maintenance, performing minor equipment repairs, assisting in the stock room and managing and processing electronic work orders.
Minimum Requirements: Qualified candidates will have a Class A CDL with N Endorsement and no air brake restriction at time of application, an Associate’s Degree in Automotive, Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanics, and a minimum of one year of experience with progressively advanced training working on automobiles, diesel engines or heavy equipment.
This position is the entry level into our Fleet and Equipment Mechanic job family, so the potential for advancement to a Mechanic or Master Mechanic level exists as opportunities become available.
