The success of Power Scholars relies on the teamwork of youth development professionals alongside a certified teacher. As the Enrichment Coach, you will administer instruction to scholars based on Power Scholars curriculum. You will be responsible for building a strong summer program team that works well together, overseeing the educational quality of the program and implementing the program model to create the best learning environment for the scholars.
In this role, you will assist in coordinating activities and events for parents, scholars, and staff. You will ensure that all curriculum and supplies are maintained throughout the program. You will ensure scholars receive meaningful and engaging instruction by implementing curriculum and a positive behavior-management system that is clear and aligns with the school, district, and state requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years or older.
  • One year or full time equivalent in child care/education.
  • Experience working in urban communities, an OST program, or other community-based youth program
  • Sensitivity to the needs of families including adults and children
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and organization skills
  • Strong technical skills, with ability to learn new programs quickly as needed
  • Positive attitude and previous experience with diverse populations.
  • Complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day.  Complete other online and in-person training as required.

Starting Wage: $16.13+ per hour, depending on qualifications

Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week
