Pet and Owner Movement Project

Ready to help advance pet recognition technology? This engaging in-home study invites you and your furry friend to participate in shaping the future of artificial intelligence.

Project Overview

TELUS Digital is looking for adults and their pets (cats and dogs) to participate in a video data collection project being conducted in Bellevue, WA; Seattle, WA; and San Jose, CA.

Participants and their pets will complete a session conducted by on-site moderators in a private home setting. The session involves the pet walking around outside and in front of devices while being recorded. Pets can remain on leashes and are permitted breaks throughout the session.

Compensation:

Participants will receive the following compensation for a completed 2-hour session:

• Seattle, WA and Bellevue, WA: $125
• San Jose, CA: $160

Payments will be made via Hyperwallet, where you can choose PayPal, bank transfer, or Venmo as your payment method.

Please note that you will need a Tax Identification Number to set up your Hyperwallet account.

Basic Requirements

• Reside in the United States.
• 18+ years of age.
• Basic English Proficiency.
• Be able to commute to the project location.
• Perform simple user action tasks as instructed by our moderator team, such as walking by a smart device.
• All participants must present a valid form of identification to be permitted to participate.

Dog’s specifications:

To ensure a smooth and safe session, please note:

• Off-Leash Walks: Pets will be asked to walk off-leash for short distances (max 3 meters) in securely fenced or barricaded areas. Treats will be provided.
• Your dog should be able to follow simple obedience commands such as sit, stay, come, and leave it when directed by you.
• Comfort Around People: It’s important that your dog is comfortable being around unfamiliar people, including our team members.

Once registered your application will be reviewed.

Selected participants will be contacted by our production team in the next few days.

You will then be able to schedule your appointment at your convenience.
