What were looking for:

We are looking for a Service Technician to clean, calibrate and repair of our phoropter product lines. If you are interested in becoming a part of the Advancing Eyecare service team supporting the latest in ophthalmic technology, we are interested in hearing from you.

If you have the basics, we will provide you with all the training you need to succeed.  After the initial training period, you will be responsible for the following essential job functions:

 

  • Evaluate, rebuild, calibrate, test, decommission, repair, and installation of ophthalmic diagnostic equipment.
  • Establish relationships with distributor network and customers.
  • Review service schedules, engineering specifications, schematics, and related information to obtain knowledge of repair methods, procedures, and activities.
  • Communicate with management, distributors and user personnel to develop repair and testing standards.
  • Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities.
  • Evaluate precision and accuracy of repair and testing equipment.
  • Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.

 

Qualifications:

  • AS in Electronics Engineering Technology, equivalent Military training, Trade School and/or 1 year experience
  • Electronics, technological, and mechanical aptitude
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Must be timely and able to follow specific and detailed instructions
  • Must have attention to detail and work in an organized manner
  • Willingness to learn and absorb new information in the Ophthalmic field
  • Willingness to travel out of state and country
