Full-Time Mechanic, Maintenance & Line Set Up (3rd shift)
Job Description
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for technical leadership responsibilities performing line setup and maintenance (scheduled and non-scheduled) of all GMP equipment within operations which includes, but is not limited to, the aseptic filling line (vial washer, tunnel, filler, lyophilizer, capper), compounding system, component preparation, terminal sterilizer for diluent product, small parts washer/dryer, autoclave/VHP pass thru unit, secondary packaging line, vial labeler, vision inspection machine and clean utilities (Di System, Clean steam system, WFI system. • Assist production management in the execution of setup activities to ensure efficient, timely and smooth operations. • Become proficient at set up, operation of and assessing/resolving equipment mechanical problems of all GMP equipment and utilities in the Controlled Classified and non-Classified Production/utility areas (A/B, C, D, clean utility area and packaging area) including but not limited to stopper processor, vial washer, tunnel, capper, filler, autoclaves, VHP pass-thru, small parts washer/dryer, lyophilizer, secondary packaging, labeller, visual inspection machine DI system, Clean steam system and WFI system. • Perform on-demand and preventive maintenance on all packaging/processing equipment and clean utilities. Work directly with vendors or independently to resolve mechanical issues with GMP equipment/utilities. • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Associates degree or combination of education and work related experience. • Minimum two (2) years of pharmaceutical industry or related experience. • Demonstrated effective communicating and interpersonal skills. • Experience working in controlled critical areas (A, B, C, D or ISO5, 7, 8) is preferred. • Must have strong problem solving skills • Able to work under pressure • Time management • Attention to detail Physical Requirements: • Standard Manufacturing Plant Working Conditions • 60%-70% of time spend on the shop floor • Regularly required to talk and hear • Frequently required to stand and walk • May be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
