Job Description
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Analyze the demand and supply balance at product family, part number, and sub-assembly levels as appropriate.
• Create the Master Production Schedule that satisfies customer demand while optimizing inventory levels and plant capacity utilization.
• Review and manage change requests from customers, plants, or suppliers, making appropriate reschedules in line with the policy.
• Determine the impact of daily customer orders and adjusts the daily production schedule to ensure maximum order fulfillment.
• Work with external and internal cross functional stakeholders to develop and implement short and mid-term tactical improvements.
• Analyze and interpret KPIs to identify areas for improvement and action plans.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Skills
• Detailed Capacity Planning – Converts and translates the Master Production Schedule into detailed resource requirements resulting in optimized internal capacity utilization and identified constraints; negotiates changes to the schedule or available resources when demand exceeds demonstrated or installed capacity with a focus on meeting Available-to-Promise (ATP) dates; considers different options such as overtime, adding a shift or headcount, etc. to increase capacity during periods of constraint.
• Materials Planning System Utilization – Uses the materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans taking long-term corrective action on exception messages and other alerts based on root cause analysis; occasionally refers to adhoc tools such as Excel, Access, TOAD, OMS, etc. in performing problem solving, while leveraging the materials planning system as the primary tool in day-to-day operations.
• Part Change Control Management – Evaluates and implements engineering change request (obsolescence, supersessions, new part release, etc.) to meet customer delivery requirements while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) – Converts the Demand Plan and Master Supply Plan into critical resource (labor, machine, and materials) requirements resulting in negotiations and/or changes to the plan or available resources to balance supply and demand; focuses on longer term resource planning, not detailed.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
• B.S or BA in applicable field
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Intermediate level of relevant work experience required
Looking for applicant with 3 to 5 years of planning and scheduling experience. This is a challenging / high exposure role with leadership development opportunities. Individual should have BS/BA in supply chain planning or equivalent field/experience. Ability to lead a team and clearly present build plans to sales and plant leadership is required. Must be able to confidently explain at multiple levels, making strategic decisions based on consistently changing supply chain issues. Oracle knowledge/experience required. Strong analytical skills preferred.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
