Reporting to the Director, you will lead the development and implementation of all marketing initiatives for the Forest City Sport & Social Club (FCSSC) and its affiliates.
Purpose of the role
- To raise awareness, entice engagement and motivate participation in all that we do from the members of our target market(s)
- To build our brand(s) reputation in our community
- To tell our stories in a way that is unique, influential and impactful across multiple platforms
Responsibilities
- Co-creating marketing strategy and leading implementation of all of our marketing plans
- Executing and measuring results of all marketing initiatives (including, but not limited to, digital/socials, email, print, radio, guerilla, partnerships and press)
- Creating graphics & visuals to support marketing initiatives
- Planning and managing our content calendar
- Building our following through impactful story telling
- Collaborating with artists, communicators, and other creatives to bring our message(s) to market
Working Hours
This is a full-time role with a flexible schedule. The Marketing Specialist works daytime hours Monday-Friday. This role requires occasional hours during the evening and on weekends to capture social media content and execute marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
Track record and proven ability to:
- Build effective marketing plans and execute marketing initiatives
- Coordinate numerous aspects of a project successfully and manage high levels of detail
- Build and foster relationships with clients, colleagues, partners, and suppliers
- Proactively find opportunities for community engagement and growth
You are:
- An entrepreneurial spirit in terms of both creativity and work ethic
- An effective communicator, committed to clear, professional, and timely sharing of information
- Energetic, positive, reliable, full of ambition and initiative
Other qualifications:
- University or College Degree preferably in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Skilled in social media as a marketing tool – content creation & delivery, use for impact, measuring results
- A valid driver’s license and personal transportation (having your own vehicle is essential)
- Experience with any of the following would be considered an asset: Canva, Facebook/Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, MailChimp, photography & photo editing
Compensation
Salary range is $45-50k, based on experience. Mileage and other business expenses will be reimbursed.
