Full-Time Marketing Manager
Job Description
A fabulous opportunity has become available for a Marketing Manager to join a leading Art Fair. The role is based in London with hybrid working options available.
The Role
This role sits in a contemporary, international art fair held in cities worldwide. The Marketing Manager is an integral part of the UK team. They will plan and implement a year-round integrated marketing and communications schedule encompassing Marketing and PR, Ticketing and VIP Management, with a focus on driving quality footfall to fairs and delivering art sales for our exhibiting galleries.
The candidate will be an excellent communicator with a passion for art and experience in managing high-performing multichannel marketing campaigns, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Brand
- Design and build customer insight strategies for the UK, in addition to implementing global initiatives
- Work with the PR agency and in-house teams to create content and brand stories that garner coverage year-round, as well as for fair campaigns.
- Use customer insight to inform the UK audience development strategy across the year-round multi-channel marketing activity
- Monitor competitors and trends in the contemporary art market
PR & Advertising Campaigns
- Manage the UK’s PR and Media agencies, briefing in key messages, timelines, and target audiences and setting KPIs
- Work with the PR agency to curate effective messaging that drives significant and varied coverage of each UK fair, as well as for brand and business stories.
Content and comms
- Oversee the UK specific content strategy across all owned channels, working closely with the Global Marketing Team and sharing ideas with other regions.
- Utilise global brand content during key campaign periods.
- Craft copy and messaging for each fair campaign, to be rolled out across all channels
- Oversee UK Fair webpages and articles, in collaboration with the UK Marketing Executive
- Drive brand profile raising activity and follower growth strategy for the UK
- Support the UK Marketing Executive with social media strategy and content
- Oversee the UK customer email strategy with a focus on driving art sales, ticket sales, and engagement.
- Lead any agreed fair activations to maximise data capture
- Complete campaign analysis based upon agreed global templates
Ticketing and FOH
- Develop and deliver the UK ticketing and invitation strategy
- Manage the ticketing agency, briefing in each fair’s ticket shop, testing the site and raising any issues as soon as they arise
Budgeting and reporting
- Provide accurate forecasts and feed into the budget-setting process
B2B marketing
- Cultivate relationships with exhibitors, both in and out of fair season, ensuring we always provide the best B2B service.
- Ad hoc copywriting and support for B2B comms.
- Work to develop marketing plans for sponsors and partners.
- Creation of marketing assets for sponsors and partners.
Essential Experience
- B2C marketing experience in the visual arts and/or events
- Experience of running multichannel marketing campaigns
- Experience managing event ticketing [not essential; desirable]
- Experience of successfully managing at least one of the following: a PR campaign, an extensive media campaign, or owned channels (email and social)
- Experience in relevant systems (or similar): WordPress, Google Analytics, Active Campaign, social scheduling tools

- The Marketing Manager position is full time, 40 hours per week
