Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls San Diego is seeking a mission-driven Managing Director to support the GXRLS Rock! SD annual empowerment camps and programming as we continue building a thriving organization and partnership model in support of female identified and non-binary youth. The Managing Director is responsible for the management of the organization operations and program leadership.
Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls San Diego is a 501(c)(3) with the mission to empower female identified and non-binary youth (ages 8-17) through music education programs. We envision a world where we collaborate and lift each other up; a safe space to create, nurture self-esteem and self-expression, while also sharing opportunities in the music industry such as sound engineering and producing. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

LEADERSHIP
• Ensure alignment of Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls San Diego programs with its mission, vision, and goals.
• Motivate staff; build an organizational culture that attracts, retains, and supports a
diverse group of highly committed and talented staff.
• Lead and coordinate the work of each department in the most efficient manner.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective implementation and oversight of programs,
finances, operations, and policies.
• Preserve an organizational infrastructure that strives for long-term sustainability and
quality service delivery.
• Represent Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls San Diego at local and national arts and
non-profit convening and network within and across communities.
• Serve as chief media liaison for Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls San Diego.

DEVELOPMENT
• Lead organizational direction against strategic plan.
• Manage fundraising efforts including grants, corporate donors, individual gifts, partner contracts, Board giving and annual campaigns.
• Support donor cultivation and stewardship efforts.

FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT
• Reconcile monthly accounting through accounting software.
• Reconcile and review monthly reports with the Treasurer.
• Coordinate accounting filings including end-of-year filing with the Treasurer.
• Review and co-develop budgets, cash flow projections, profit and loss statements
• Financial Control Policy and fundraising reports for submission to the Board of
Directors.
• Monitor the balance of restricted and unrestricted funds to ensure sustained operations.

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT, QUALITY OVERSIGHT AND PARTNER RELATIONS
• Work with the Camp Director and Workshop Coordinators to implement, support,
monitor, and evaluate programs.
• Oversee process and procedure that impact and partner (granter/contractor)
satisfaction.
• Identify and strengthen opportunities for strategic collaborations with partners.
• Maintain equipment inventory.

BOARD DEVELOPMENT
• Maintain a productive and mutually supportive relationship with the Board of
Directors.
• Coordinate efforts with the Board of Directors on oversight of policy, finances,
budget, and program.
• Partner with the Board of Directors on strategic Board member recruitment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a nonprofit organization
• Experience in an arts-related nonprofit organization highly preferred
• Experience in financial management
• Experience in fundraising and donor stewardship
• Experience in human resources
• Strong organizational and management skills
• Previous experience working with female identified and nonbinary youth a plus

COMPENSATION:
This position is nonexempt at a rate of $30/hr. with an anticipated 200 hours throughout the year.
