Overview
Morning Brew is looking for a Manager, Content Strategy to help take our content partnerships to the next level. The Content Strategy team is focused on streamlining, communicating, and developing cross-platform B2B and B2C content opportunities that are rooted in editorial and informed by sales strategy. Together with the Associate Director, you will own the pricing, packaging, and roll-out of editorial sponsorships, tentpoles, and first-to-market ideas, and manage the day-to-day operations of the Content Strategy team.
Morning Brew is based in New York City but this role is remote-friendly for all candidates.
What you’ll do:
– Provide day-to-day team management, with oversight by the Associate Director, Content Strategy, to develop and bring to market Morning Brew’s new products and editorial initiatives.
– Manage the Content Strategy project pipeline, team workflows and escalate issues or questions.
– Lead, concept and formulate both large and small-scale content ideas into innovative partnership programs and new product launches with a high-level of business and creative acumen.
– Work cross-functionally with editorial, integrated marketing, sales, content, product, and account management to develop campaigns, create go to market strategy, decks, and media packages for content initiatives and new product launches.
– Collaborate and contribute in the creation of decks and packaging material.
– Collaborate and brainstorm proactive initiatives that align with company goals and priorities as well as sales category specific ideas.
– Think through Content Strategy initiatives from initial idea to roll-out, flagging any issues, questions or resource needs.
– Support cross-functional teams from content development to post-sale by being the point of contact for questions and follow-ups.
– Leverage existing research data and resources to tell the Morning Brew story for each unique project.
– Lead internal calls with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the process is smooth, collaborative, and transparent.
– Continually optimize the framework and process for content strategy and keep relevant teams updated on changes.
What makes you qualified:
– 5+ years experience at a digital publisher or agency with direct knowledge of and experience with sales and marketing organizations in a pre and post-sale capacity
– Experience across multiple sales categories and working with editorial teams
– Incredibly organized with the ability to project manage and produce your own work and collaborate across teams clearly and confidently
– Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex things into easily digestible information
– A client-focused strategic thinker who anticipates questions and provides solutions with the ability to quickly adapt to client needs, changing budgets, and deadlines
– A contributor who can own their own projects while managing and implementing workflows and processes
– Experience managing others
– Insight into the current media landscape including packages, pricing and innovative sponsorships
– Expert G-Suite & Keynote skills
– Understanding of data, insights, measurement, and consumer behavior
– Passion for all Morning Brew editorial brands
