If you are driven and motivated to become part of a dynamic team, we have an opening for a Maintenance Technician in Mississauga, ON. Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, you will service, support and maintain electrical equipment within the determined geographical area.
 
Your responsibilities may include:
     * Perform electrical preventative maintenance on equipment. Performs activities under minimal supervision.
     * Maintain safe work habits and actions in all aspects of the daily tasks; evaluate reactive work for safety issues, plan projects so that safety is key, and review preventative work for any unforeseen items that may present safety hurdles. Follow manufacturer’s recommended electrical preventative maintenance schedules and startup procedures.
     * Diagnose malfunctioning electrical and controls systems and components using electrical test equipment to locate the cause of breakdown and correct the problem.
     * Utilize plant electrical distribution knowledge to support customer needs and defines location of additional loading or consults the appropriate facilities personnel to determine location for adding equipment feeds.
     * Utilize software to track, assign, and prioritize reactive, planned, preventative and predictive electrical maintenance work, and building management control system.
     * Coordinate programs including planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracking.
     * Perform work cross-functionally to make repairs within one’s capability.
     * Perform electrical repairs and troubleshooting with and trains apprentices and other technicians.
     * Participate in the maintenance of quality procedures for electrical systems.
     * Lead electrical work and participates as electrician in improvement projects.
     * Participate in self and team audits and associated corrective action.
 
 

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
     * Post-Secondary education in either Electro Mechanical, Electro Chemical or Electrical disciplines.
 
Experience:
     * Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada without sponsorship.
     * Experience working with gaseous hydrogen at high pressure.
     * Experience in field service with mono-polar and bipolar electrolytic hydrogen producing equipment.
     * Experience reading P&ID’s, electrical schematics, PFD, ASME boiler code, and ASME B31.3.
     * Experience troubleshooting for 24VDC, 120VAC, 220VAC, 480VAC and 600VAC equipment including motors, breaker, and relays.
     * Experience programming in Allen Bradley, Siemens S7, GE Fanuc, Profibus & DeviceNet.
     * Strong aptitude in mechanical skills specific to gas piping and compressor repairs.
     * Previous experience with Fuel Cells is considered an asset.
     * Significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
     * A TSSA Hydrogen license would be a strong asset.
