Title:  Law Program Coordinator

Department: SEO Law

Report to:  Director of SEO Law

Compensation: $52,900 – $60,500 Annually

FLSA: NonExempt (Overtime Eligible)

LOCATION/HOURS

This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our New York City office. It is expected that some duties will be performed on-site at least 2-days a week, and some remotely, with the understanding that government and public health guidelines will help determine the extent to which it is safe to carry out in-person and onsite activities.

SEO LAW

Provides participants with critical educational, career development, and internship opportunities that propel them to law school and subsequent employment. SEO Law programming includes Catalyst, which supports aspiring law students nationwide apply to law school and the Fellowship, which is the only program of its kind, offering talented, incoming, underrepresented law school students the opportunity to secure a paid internship at a top law firm the summer before law school. SEO Law alumni have gone on to work as Chief Legal Officers, U.S. District Attorneys, Deputy/Assistant Attorneys General, U.S. District Court Judges, and U.S. Cabinet/Congress Members.

 

POSITION OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Law Program Coordinator of the SEO Law Program is responsible for providing administrative support to SEO Law team members throughout the planning and implementation of our educational and professional programs.  Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the SEO Law Inbox, which includes responding to prospective participants, applicants and alumni inquiries
  • Assist with SEO Law’s calendar of appointments including scheduling events and following up, often with multiple internal and external parties
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new program participants
  • Support document production and management
  • Compiling and sending bulk mailings to current participants
  • Monitoring and procuring materials and merchandise as needed by the team
  • Submit and track event- and vendor-related payments
  • Assisting the Operations Analyst in gathering and transcribing data from survey results
  • Attend in-person or virtual career and prelaw fairs and conferences in New York City, serving as a representative to prospective applicants
  • Conducting research to support fellow team members with discrete special projects
  • Other related designated duties

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least one (1) year of professional experience in a Program Coordinator, Program Assistant, or similar role providing administrative support to multiple managers or above
  • Strong organizational skills; must be comfortable managing multiple competing priorities and meeting deadlines independently and as part of a larger team.
  • Technical proficiency in core workplace applications, including MS365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required; must have intermediate Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail and accountability for quality work product.
  • Practiced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; must be comfortable addressing and engaging with different communities at various levels and through different mediums, including in-person, email, messaging platforms, and phone calls
  • A deep curiosity and passion for closing the opportunity gap for underserved and underrepresented communities is non-negotiable.
  • Ability to empathize with colleagues and individuals from a range of backgrounds and experiences
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends throughout the year, such as attending webinars or kick-off events.

  • Communication – In this role, you will be frequently interacting with prospective and current program participants. Excellent communication skills, intellectual depth and a professional presence are very important.
  • Organized – Must be well adept at managing multiple and often competing priorities to meet results in a timely manner and efficient manner.

The compensation listed in this posting reflects what SEO believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
