Job Description

Canwide Steel Ltd. is hiring 2 Ironworkers to work on construction sites in Surrey, BC.

Main Duties

• Erect and install scaffolding, platforms, and falsework

• Signal crane operators to move steel parts according to blueprints

• Align, bolt, or weld steel units into position

• Secure steel bars or mesh in concrete forms

• Unload and position steel pieces for hoisting

• Read and follow blueprints, maps, and technical drawings

Work Environment

• Outdoors

• At heights

• In confined or hot spaces

Job Requirements

Language: English
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Physical Requirements:

• Fast-paced and physically demanding work

• Manual dexterity, bending, crouching, and kneeling

• Good attention to detail

Tools/Equipment Needed:

• Must have your own steel-toed safety boots
