What We Can Achieve Together:

The Impact Investing Manager leads evaluations and manages assets of projects being considered by an impact investment fund to which TNC serves as a conservation advisor. They will manage scoping, development, and implementation of water conservation and restoration projects in Washington and Oregon. They will track and assess corporate practices, relationships with communities and interest groups, and governmental policies to reduce risks while maximizing conservation benefits. They will manage a pipeline of potential projects, and will ensure that viable projects contribute to the strategic priorities of The Nature Conservancy.

Collaboration is key in this position. The Impact Investing Manager will develop new relationships, or strengthen existing relationships with Tribes, other NGOs, internal TNC staff, and community members.

Location and Schedule:

The preferred primary location for this position is Bend, Oregon, with other locations in Oregon and Washington considered.
May involve domestic or international travel of 25% or more, primarily in Oregon and Washington.

We are looking for a collaborative, motivated problem solver interested in joining the world’s leading conservation organization!

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hydrology, conservation, business, finance, environmental science or related field and 4 years related experience, or equivalent combination.
  • Experience leading complex projects or strategic initiatives in an unstructured environment.
  • Experience synthesizing information to identify risks and opportunities, and creatively offering solutions to reduce risk and achieve practical solutions.
  • Experience with asset management and financial due diligence.
  • Experience with impact management, impact investing, habitat restoration, conservation, and/or water management, particularly in the American west.
  • Experience in partnership development with Tribes, non-profit partners, government agencies, and/or community groups.
