Full-Time IM EMEA – Consumer Writer
Reporting into the global head of content, deliver market-leading content for consumers and for financial advisers to use with their clients to enhance the BNY Mellon Investment Management brand. To provide a broad range of investment content – across multiple mediums – to promote BNY Mellon IM propositions and funds, including macroeconomics, educational materials, market trends, topical news & features and portfolio updates, targeted primarily at a UK consumer audience.
This role is dedicated to working in our agile UK Retirement team. This team is focussed on delivering on one of our strategic initiatives to enhance our Multi-Asset proposition. The induvial in this role will be expected to deliver on their work to achieve our sales targets. This includes joining the team stand-ups, owning their items on our backlog and owning the processes needed to deliver on their work. The team works with a mindset of continuous improvement so the induvial will be expected to enhance the processes they own, bring new ideas to the table and execute on those ideas with the support of the wider team.
Create and manage a content agenda, work as an integral part of the UK retirement end- to-end team and the global content team as well as partner with our 7 unique investment firms to capture and leverage our best research and thinking.
Edit, write and produce a wide range of client-centric content, in adherence to the wider team style and ethos.
Produce to tight deadlines, managing coverage of in-house conferences, marketing and sales’ requests and briefs plus own content ideas, within a concrete deadline.
Work with multiple mediums – determining whether a topic is best suited in written, audio, video or infographic form.
Work with wider marketing teams, particularly retirement, for the creation, design and implementation of educational materials.
Understand B2B2C content needs, working closely with sales to stay client-relevant.
Work with BNY Mellon Fund boards to assist with the production of the annual assessment of value reports.
To aid the whole marketing team on the implementation of any consumer duty requirements, including assisting with fund notifications.
Knowing and adhere to editorial compliance standards and processes. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and policies
History of creating educational materials for consumers and B2B2C.
Possess a strong command of fund investment topics as well as a keen sense of business and sales priorities
Strategic and creative thinker with attention to detail – ability to work independently as well as to manage multiple projects
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; build strong, positive relationships with key external and internal partners.
Journalist experience at editor level preferred
