The role will enable you to deliver administrative and advisory services and processing activity to the BBC workforce including providing information, managing data and completing process delivery. Further, the role advises the workforce based on information received, knowledge of policy and process; understands issues and manages them accordingly. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
What will you be doing on the apprenticeship?
As a HR Support Apprentice you will have the opportunity to join an exciting BBC team while developing your skills in areas like:
- Attention to detail
- Effective administrative skills
- Working with data
- Problem solving
- Teamwork
- Managing HR information and systems
- Dealing with confidential information
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills
What will you be studying?
You’ll study for your industry recognised apprenticeship qualification, learning both on and off the job. Alongside your on-the-job experience, you’ll study for your HR Support Level 3 apprenticeship qualification. The programme consists of online teaching, coaching and workplace development.

Where could the role take you?
On successful completion of your apprenticeship,you’ll be well equipped to apply for a role as a HR coordinator, advisor or administrator. This scheme will provide you with a good foundation for a successful career in any element of HR including Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition and General HR.
This scheme starts in September 2025, and you will be on a fixed term contract which means your contract is for the duration of the apprenticeship only. The duration of this scheme is 18 months.

- Can understand and address colleague needs

- Can understand how to handle, resolve and escalate enquiries; passes on information promptly
- Can be flexible, willing and pragmatic when providing assistance within the wider operational environment
- Are assured in dealing with the full range of business users, via multiple communication channels

To be eligible for an apprenticeship at the BBC, you must:
- Be aged 18 or over when the apprenticeship starts in September 2025
- By the start of the apprenticeship in September 2025, have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for a minimum of 3 years.
- Be eligible to work in the UK full time for the duration of the apprenticeship contract.
- Not currently taking part in an apprenticeship scheme supported by the BBC or another organisation.
To apply for this scheme, you must also:
- Have achieved Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or above or National 5 (Scotland) at C or equivalent qualification. If you have not achieved English and Maths at Level 2 by the start of your apprenticeship you will be required to achieve this, before the end of your apprenticeship when you take your end-point assessment.
- Not already have a Level 3 or higher qualification in Human Resources, Recruitment, or a similar discipline.
