Full-Time Hachette Book Group Associates Program
Job Description
Hachette Book Group Associates Program
WE WANT YOU!
Have you ever considered a career in publishing? It takes a whole team of creative people with many different strengths to produce that beautiful hardcover or paperback at the bookstore. If you are passionate about books and want to be a part of bringing them to readers, we’re looking for you!
The Program
The HBG Associates Program is a paid full-time 12-month learning and development work experience for individuals interested in exploring career paths at HBG. We encourage anyone interested in launching a career in publishing, especially those from backgrounds that have been underrepresented in the industry, to apply for this unique opportunity.
Associates will receive career counseling, mentorship, and one-on-one guidance from HBG employees, both in their areas of interest and in the job search and interview process. Each Associate will have weekly meetings with an assigned primary mentor dedicated to helping them make the most of the program. At the end of their experience, Associates will emerge as well-rounded, future publishing professionals and will become eligible for roles at HBG. Though placement at the company is not guaranteed, we will give Associates first priority in interviewing for openings for which they qualify.
Associates complete three, four-month rotational assignments across various departments, acquiring skills, knowledge and hands-on work experience. Publishing departments open to Associates include:
