As a Gymnastics Instructor, you will provide direct leadership, instruction and motivation for children of all ages teaching gymnastics skills and progression. You will use your passion to help serve staff, YMCA members and guests, volunteers and program participants in the gymnastics program.
If hired some duties may include:
- Prepare lesson plans with a natural progression appropriate to the age and ability of the gymnast.
- Instruct gymnasts in a safe and fun manner
- Outline class lesson plans to keep children moving
Enforce all safety rules and regulations in the gymnastics gym. - Finish each class with a fun group activity.
- Incorporate and discuss the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility

Qualifications:
- Six months or more of experience teaching gymnastics and/or personal gymnastics experience preferred.
- Positive attitude and previous experience with children of all ages and diverse populations.
- Knowledge and skills in program activities and related gymnastics and office equipment set-up, and the ability to instruct participants in age appropriate techniques.
- Preferred: Knowledge and skills to instruct gymnastics.
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications preferred.
- Able to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day and other online and in-person training as required.
Starting Rate: $14.49+ per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Part time – Up to 25 hours per week
