Are you mechanically inclined? Do you prefer hands-on work? As a Maintenance Technician you will work with our Facilities team for our members, to perform preventative, routine and emergency maintenance for the building, building support systems and membership program equipment At the YMCA, you may also perform custodial and grounds keeping tasks to maintain a clean and pleasing appearance of the building.

  • You have a basic understanding of buildings and the operation and maintenance of building systems.
  • You are able to learn and practice the safe and correct operation of the equipment assigned to perform the required tasks.
  • You are able to learn and practice the correct procedures and techniques used in cleaning the facility.
  • You are able to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
  • You are able to report and record maintenance requests.
  • You have knowledge of cleaning methods and custodial, maintenance, and office equipment.
  • You have a basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment.
  • Able to complete Child Abuse Prevention training on first day and other online or in-person training as required.

Starting Rate: Up to $24.20 per hour, depending on experience

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week
