Nicol Squash is looking for a new team member to join our wonderful crew! To be noted – NO squash experience necessary, most of our front desk team members had never heard of squash prior 😊
Nicol Squash is a vibrant 4-court and functional training facility home to total newbie squash players through to national champions. We are a small team with big plans, and seek teammates who are open-minded and interested in a role with a startup mentality. We are all willing to color outside the lines of our job descriptions, ready to learn, and ready to grow within a great environment. Job duties include:
- #1 is managing our members! We are all about providing the highest level of customer service to our community. Duties include but not limited to: Emails, Phone, Mariana Tek (member management system), Club Locker (court booking system), and most importantly: in-person welcome and handling questions whether it be during our junior program, adult program, or special events. Managing the phone, email, and most importantly in person communicaiton is always the #1 priority.
- Assisting in managing social media and retail alongside our manager Cody and owner Jess. Duties include mingling with our community and getting fun pics, posting stories, and compiling reels on Splice. Retail: work with Cody/Jess to source, display, track, and re-order. This component will largely be dependent on interest level.
- Marketing: we utilize an automation system called Brandbot, training is all provided. Additional marketing development is available and dependent on interest level.
- Making sure everything looks great and the experience is great for all! Music is appropriate, temperature feels just right, you’ll get the feel!
- Attend and contribute to team meetings, keep an open line of communication with the team and in particular Cody and Jess, who are directly reported to.
- Evenings are Monday-Friday 4pm-10pm, weekends are Saturday 8am-2pm/2pm-8pm, Sunday 9am-1:30pm/1.30pm-6pm. Flexibility is always paramount with this team. If the right candidate would like less hours or more hours, we are happy to accommodate.
Offer and Conditions:
Compensation starts at $25/hour. Payment can be provided monthly or bi-monthly. Less than 40hrs/week is a W9 part-time contractor role; 40+ hrs/week has option for W2 payment structure and benefits (paid leave, insurance contribution).
This is an at-will contract therefore both parties can terminate it with a 4-week notice. Contract shall be renewed in writing by both parties by November 1, 2022. Nicol Squash is an equal-opportunity employer.
