This is a contract opportunity with the possibility of becoming a direct hire position. The Coordinator will travel to other locations such as Bangor ME, and Brunswick ME, (Exeter NH, and Hampton NH locations as needed).
Pay: 35 – 42.75 per hour

Position Purpose
| Plan, organize, schedule, coordinate and direct internal and contracted resources and day-to-day fleet & facilities activities in support of Unitil’s Maine-based Gas Distribution Operations. Includes oversight and coordination for the timely, efficient, and effective maintenance of all fleet and facilities assets, as well as capital projects for facilities and fleet asset acquisitions. Responsible for providing accurate, reliable, and timely support services and reports in support of supervisor, internal customers, contractors, and vendor requests. Ensure compliance with all fleet and facilities regulatory city/state/federal registrations, filings, and inspections. |
Principal Accountabilities

| 45% FLEET | - Develop and oversee fleet assets preventative maintenance schedules to ensure cost effective, reliable, safe, and compliant fleet operations.
- Coordinate all preventative maintenance and service work with drivers’ supervisors and fleet vendors.
- Maintain a high performance, professional, and effective network of fleet vendors.
- Transport vehicles to service locations as needed.
- Responsible for registrations & inspections of fleet assets and applicable DOT or Federal reporting.
- Facilitate acquisition process for new fleet assets.
- Facilitate disposition process of fleet assets.
- Coordinate all ancillary fleet program needs including; Coordination of telematics installations & transfers w/Telematics partner, requests for new and replacement fuel cards, EZPass transponders, car wash tickets, etc.
- Actively use fleet software systems including; Telematics, and any future fleet systems including a Fleet Management Information System and/or Fleet Maintenance Tracking System.
- Report monthly mileage for entry into the Company’s Operations Data Integration (ODI) System.
- Review and approve fleet maintenance invoices weekly. May involve data entry into a fleet system.
- Distribute updated insurance cards annually, in October to all fleet vehicles.

| 45% FACILITIES | - Develop and oversee facilities preventative maintenance (PM) schedules to ensure cost effective, reliable, safe, and compliant facilities operations.
- Coordinate all facilities PM and service work for HVAC, MEP, Security, Grounds, etc.
- Maintain a high performance, professional, and effective network of facilities vendors.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local building codes and/or regulations.
- Participate in the planning of and responsible to oversee facilities capital improvement projects at Maine Distribution Operations Centers (DOC’s).
- Use Facilities Work Order System to track facilities work, inspections, service, etc.
- Inspect entire facilities and grounds weekly including completing a weekly inspection report and following up on any issues to resolution.
- CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) conduct and document daily, weekly visual inspections and coordinate quarterly and annual inspections with 3rd party vendor(s), in addition to service calls as needed. Save inspection documents, reports, and work orders to SharePoint.
- Test the physical security surveillance systems weekly to ensure they are operating as intended including the Network Recording Device and all cameras.
- Adhere to Unitil’s safety standards and environment and culture of workplace safety including conducting safety tailboards with vendors before they begin working at the facility.
- Review and approve facilities invoices weekly within budget and approval level guidelines.

Qualifications
- Associates Degree and/or 5 years related work experience in a field compatible with the requirements of the job or extensive equivalent work experience involving increasing levels of responsibility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the drive to provide a high level of service to internal customers.
- Must possess proficient PC skills.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license based on the requirements of the State where the employee resides.
