Salary and Benefits

2 days per week, 12 month fixed term contract

Up to £45,000 per annum dependant on experience (Pro rata circa 18,000 Per Annum)

5% Club Bonus Scheme

23 days holiday increasing

The Position

As part of our ongoing commitment to be recognised as one of the most inclusive cricket Clubs in the World and create a diverse, inclusive and welcoming workplace we would like to appoint our first Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Officer.

This role will help facilitate the delivery of our EDI plan.

This role will ensure that our solutions reflect best practise and are aligned with the ECB guidance and directives.

 

What you’ll do

  • attend the Culture and Values Board meetings and other EDI meetings held at the Club or ECB to provide update and progress on key milestones across the Club
  • work across all departments to ensure the EDI plan is fully embedded in what we do
  • create and implement initiatives that foster and promote our EDI objectives
  • facilitate annual surveys and regular pulse checks to measure progress
  • be a visible EDI champion, leading all communications and forums to drive a positive and inclusive working environment across all teams
  • facilitate focus groups with different staffing groups to ensure everyone has a voice and representation in what we do.
  • deliver training and education across the Club to ensure we are continually developing our knowledge and understanding of EDI and how we can raise the game
  • work with the Internal Communications team to identify and agree I&D events in the calendar which should be celebrated and how.

 

The Person

The successful candidate will have the following experience / skills / qualities:

 

Essential:

  • clear understanding of the inequalities that affect underrepresented and marginalised groups of people and experience of how these can be overcome
  • sound understanding of EDI, knowledgeable of current trends and issues impacting organisations
  • previously designed and delivered effective ED&I policies and initiatives
  • excellent people and communication skills, to be able to engage with everyone across the business at all levels
  • highly organised and detail orientated with the ability to manage different projects
  • assimilate different viewpoints and develop creative solutions that reflect the views of the wider company
  • confident at the delivery of EDI training and education to different levels of the organisation.

Desirable:

  • degree in EDI or equivalent
  • training or mentoring qualification
