DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Engine Systems Performance Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Corporate Business Unit in Columbus, IN office / remote In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Make engine technology recommendations to achieve program goals for future products
• Develop test plans to effectively and efficiently evaluate hardware and/or control strategies
• Guide and/or perform engine system analysis using simulation tools
• Guide combustion system development through partnership with the combustion research team
• Lead experimental engine technology evaluations or demonstrations
• Perform data analysis of technology evaluations and summarize findings in technical report
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or similar.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Prior experience or knowledge of engine performance
• The desire to understand engine performance at a fundamental level
• Have the ability to identify and evaluate technology to achieve engine performance goals
