Job Description
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Electrical Engineer Technical Specialist to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Power Systems Unit in Fridley, MN / home office. (Hybrid)
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Lead and support electrical subsystems and architecture for diesel and/or natural gas powered genset programs
• Interpret customer needs (internal and external depending upon work area) to identify the relevant modifications and enhancements required to the product(s)
• Collaborate with other functions (such as Operations, Manufacturing, Service, Marketing etc) to determine possible solutions to problems and issues
• Progress the proposed modifications to resolve issues through the required approval routing process
• Communicate and liaise effectively with key suppliers and customers, visiting customer sites when necessary.
• Identify suitable new products and components that can be used for modifications and enhancements to current products.
• Lead design, safety, technical reviews on VPC/VPI projects or as delegated by the Engineering Department Leader
• Lead assigned electrical subsystem of the genset during different stages of product development
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• MS Degree in Electrical Engineering with 3-5 years of work experience OR BS degree with 10 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with Creo
• Electrical subsystem experience
• Wiring harness design experience
• Experience with product lifecycle management tool like Windchill would be a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
