Job Role: Domestic Abuse Casework Coordinator          

Salary: £22,440 – £23,812              

Hours: 37.5 per week, predominantly Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM, with some flexibility and weekend work required           

Contract type: Permanent

Location:   Chippenham and Wiltshire

Additional information:

  • On-call (1 in 4 weeks), £100/week when on-call

The Role

Julian House is seeking a full time Domestic Abuse Casework Coordinator to join our team in Wiltshire. You will need to provide a person-centred approach towards clients, working closely to ensure that they are supported appropriately.

The successful applicant will have experience of working with those affected by domestic and sexual abuse.  You will also need the right attitude along with flexibility, resilience and have excellent organisational skills, and understand the importance of working as part of a team – full training will be provided for the right individual. 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing support to women fleeing domestic abuse
  • Develop and maintain individual recovery plans, including risk assessments.
  • Ensure all safeguarding procedures and service polices are followed, including risk management and escalation in accordance with Julian House, making sure that these are met with local and national standards.
  • Use brief interventions in both one-one and group settings to promote engagement and increase self-esteem, wellbeing, accountability and enhance motivation. 
  • Used structured interventions via support plans and tools to work with clients to achieve goals. 
  • Carry out the client referral and assessment process

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience of working with those affected by domestic and sexual abuse
  • Knowledge of housing and benefits policy and procedures
  • A valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle – business insurance will be required
