THIS IS HUGE. GOODLES is reimagining a $4.4B category (well, that was the size pre-GOODLES, at least) that hadn’t seen significant innovation in decades. We took the humble noodle and made it stealthily healthy, so you can have your mac and eat it too. It’s kind of a big deal, packed into a tiny noodle. WHAT YOU WILL DO
In this dynamic role, you’ll execute and implement a strategic marketing plan that aligns with the
business and brand vision. Leading a talented team focused on boosting brand visibility, you’ll
collaborate across departments to ensure all marketing efforts fuel our success. You’ll
spearhead targeted initiatives to drive growth, manage diverse marketing tactics, and optimize
the budget for maximum impact.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate marketing strategy that ties to overall business strategy and brand strategy (in conjunction with the CMO and the VP of Brand).
- Create and implement marketing strategies to help the business grow. This includes identifying target markets and marketing tactics, as well as setting objectives, and defining KPIs.
- Manage tactics including sampling, PR, social, and influencer.
- Oversee annual budget associated with marketing tactics and research.
- Analyze key marketing metrics, sales numbers, and market trends to understand consumer behavior and adjust marketing plans.
- Research competitors to stay up to date on similar products and services.
- Lead the team responsible for driving brand awareness through classic marketing tactics. Provide tools to help them function effectively and mentorship to help them thrive in their roles.
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and operations to achieve company objectives and develop effective strategies.
WHO YOU ARE
You’re experienced within the CPG industry and have touched multiple strands of marketing including integrated, activations, social, influencer, and beyond. You know what it takes to thrive at a start-up, and you also know and utilize best practices and processes. People are your strong suit – you can mentor the newbies and hold your own with the top leaders, all while keeping your cool. You’re the kind of person who uses data to make things happen, and fast. When it comes to getting stuff done, you’re a real go-getter with a keen eye for details. The best part? You love this industry and are 100% on board with what Goodles is trying to do.
Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years of relevant marketing experience in the CPG industry; food experience preferred.
- Startup experience highly desirable.
- Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing a team.
- Previous experience working with a marketing planning tool is a plus.
- Willingness to regularly travel to the Santa Cruz HQ.
