Full-Time Deputy Chief of Staff – Policy and Partnerships
Job Description
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Deputy Chief of Staff – Policy and Partnerships will develop and manage strategic relationships with governmental, philanthropic, private sector, and civic sector partners to advance Innamorato Administration priorities and analyze policy developments and their potential impact on Allegheny County. Strong candidates will have exceptional policy analysis skills, the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with a diverse range of partners, and the ability to communicate clearly, succinctly, and compellingly.
The Deputy Chief of Staff – Policy and Partnerships’ responsibilities include:
- At the County Executive’s and Chief of Staff’s direction, developing and managing strategic partnerships with philanthropic, private sector, and civic sector partners to advance Innamorato Administration priorities
- Supporting the Chief of Staff by monitoring, analyzing, and researching local, state, and federal policy developments and their impact on Allegheny County, and contributing to drafting legislation where necessary
- Supporting the County Executive and Chief of Staff in managing relationships with other governmental entities – including municipalities within the County, the County Council, and state and federal governments – by preparing strong briefing materials for the County Executive and the Chief of Staff
- Supporting other Executive Office priorities as requested by the County Executive and the Chief of Staff
Candidates should have at least five years of relevant experience, either working or in graduate school. Knowledge of Allegheny government processes and policy areas important to the Innamorato Administration preferred.
Anticipated annual salary: $85,000
