DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Cybersecurity Vulnerability Remediation Sr. Analyst to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Corporate Segment in Columbus, IN / your remote home office. The Vulnerability Remediation Sr. Analyst role is a key position within the Cummins Vulnerability Management team and will be responsible for driving the remediation of known vulnerabilities within the Cummins environment.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Understand and apply Cummins cybersecurity policies and industry data privacy principles.
• Lead cybersecurity risk identification utilizing identified Cummins risk management frameworks while providing guidance to the team to evaluate severity and mitigation plans.
• Coach and develop less experienced team members.
• Provide cybersecurity technical expertise for technology solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on requests for new and changing technology solutions, acting as a trusted business partner and advisor.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• 2- or 4-year College, university, or equivalent degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or a related subject or equivalent industry experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
• Experience with vulnerability management scanning technologies, particularly, prioritized remediation-based technologies.
• Experience at influencing without authority, working across multiple different organizations at once, have a proven track record at tracking many different initiatives at once, and be efficient at driving tasks to completion.
• Some vendor management as well as project management experience would be a plus for a person in this role.
• The ability to translate technical risk/vulnerabilities into business risk, while also understanding business processes and ensuring that solutions are put in place that both reduce technical risk while still enabling the business to keep running.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
