In 2022 the Customer Service department started a transition in how the department services our participants and other clients. This transition includes changes in the department structure, its technology, and processes.

Customer satisfaction and teamwork remain two of our core values. In this role you’ll play an important part in helping ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high quality customer service to our benefit plan participants and plan sponsors, including using first contact resolution for incoming calls by utilizing multiple resources and systems. Caller needs will vary from walking a caller through a self-service task online to fully understanding their retirement and health benefits.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Has a passion for serving customers.
  • Has a consistent positive and professional demeanor over the phone.
  • Prior experience learning a complex subject or system and applying the learned information to future situations.
  • Can multi-task while working with a customer over the phone.
  • Proficient with technology and has basic experience with Word and Excel. Has utilized multiple systems concurrently.

Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 1 year of contact center experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Prior benefits administration customer service experience: preferably with defined benefit, defined contribution or health benefits.
  • Prior experience with CRM systems and workflow systems.
