Job Description
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Investigate electronic application and systems problems, understands causal mechanisms, recommends appropriate action, owns problem resolution and documents results.
• Configure (tune), integrate, test, and release software, electronic control units, tools, sensors, actuators, and harnesses into an electronic system that controls the operation of Cummins’ products in a variety of customer applications.
• Make decisions in the areas of electronic systems design, requirements, calibration, and test that impact the quality and performance of calibrated subsystems and feature classes of electronic subsystems.
• Obtain input and negotiate with product and software development teams; deliver control system designs, verified and calibrated software features and builds to product teams.
• Lead the development and improvement of work processes and systems across a functional discipline area within a business unit site.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• College, university, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required.
• Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making.
• Prior experience of telematics system is essential.
• Extensive knowledge of J1939 and UDS protocols.
• Proficient in engineering tools like CANalyzer and engineering dataloggers.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
