Full-Time Community Liaison

The Philadelphia Bar Foundation is actively recruiting for a full-time, Equal Justice Center Community Liaison. This role combines community collaboration, data collection, and community connection to ensure that the development of the Equal Justice Center (EJC) navigation portal for civil legal aid in Philadelphia is guided by the voices and priorities of the community members it is meant to serve.
What will you do?
The EJC Community Liaison works in partnership with the Executive Director, the EJC Project Manager, the EJC steering committee members, and other stakeholders to advance the work of the Foundation through connecting and coordinating with community leaders to collect information around individuals’ unmet justice needs that will inform the development of the EJC Virtual Hub. The work includes aggregating data in a meaningful way to help the development of the navigation portal. Activities will also include identifying community leaders who can work as community-based civil justice navigators, building trusted relationships with those leaders and working on implementation plans for the use of the EJC navigation system.

A passion for the mission of the organization and a desire to work collaboratively with socio-economically diverse Philadelphia communities. A familiarity with navigating complex legal or social service systems. Highly motivated, civic-minded individual with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in social or clinical work. A systems thinker familiar with human-centered design. A Bachelor’s degree in social work, clinical work, family studies or similar discipline is preferred. Combination of education and/or experience will be given full consideration as appropriate. Familiarity with and knowledge of client support software systems is preferred.

Salary: $60,000
Benefits: Employer-sponsored healthcare, employer-funded pension plan, 35-hour work week, 13 paid holidays, and 4 weeks of vacation.
