DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Communication Director to join our team specializing in communications, branding and public relations for our New Power Business based in Indianapolis, IN. This role is hybrid and can be performed from your home office with business travel.
The Communication Director will lead New Power’s Global Communications team to build a new brand, narrative and product identities for the company’s alternative power business.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Develops and implements an overall communication strategy with plans, tools, and publications for New Power internal and external audiences.
• Innovates and leads continuous improvement for New Power communications, branding and marketing.
• Develops short and long-term communications strategies and objectives and leads changes to New Power communications processes.
• Leads communications strategy and planning, creates and strengthens relationships with stakeholders and vendor partners.
• Leads tactical execution of marketing/communications plans and process improvement.
• Simplifies complex messaging across multiple stakeholders.
• Manage and maintain budget/financials, sets targets for data-driven decisions; compiles, analyzes, and utilizes metrics, data, and analytics.
• Recruits, develops, manages, coaches and mentors direct reports; provides guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates work assignments accordingly.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Collaborate with the business leaders to message and build the New Power identity through various mediums. Dig in and be the communication and brand leader for a new business segment.
• Understanding the new energy transformation that New Power must undertake and is passionate about working for a company that will lead in it.
• Be the face of New Power (public relations, media events and representing the brand through various modes of communications). There are significant players in this space (COP26, press, investors) attention grabbing, and compelling narratives need to be created.
• Manages ambiguity – operates effectively, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear.
• Digital experience (emerging trends, digital for business, metrics, paid vs. organic, advertising content), excellent writing skills, graphic design skills, visual communications channel capabilities.
Education/Experience
• College, university, or equivalent degree in communications, marketing, or a related subject required.
• MBA, Master’s in Communications, Master’s in Marketing, or equivalent degree highly preferred.
• The ideal candidate has knowledge of the electrification, fuel cell and hydrogen production markets and is a trusted advisor and relationship builder across our portfolio of products.
• Experience working in a start-up environment and adapts quickly.
• Global perspective/experience highly preferred.
• Client/account management and B2B experience desired.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: 140K-200K
Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
