Primary Purpose:
Conduct research and assess market developments, draft testimony to be submitted to the California Public Utilities Commission and develop partnerships. Assess market development, including conducting research on electric vehicle charging infrastructure evolution, electric vehicle development across all vehicle segments, research on other infrastructure development entities (i.e., VW Settlement – Electrify America), research industry reports, examination of the intersection with energy storage, demand response and other energy management technologies. Responsible for fostering relationships with market participants and customers and assisting with development and implementation of Clean Transportation.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce high quality written work product that will be shared with internal management and external stakeholders (e.g., regulatory agencies, lobbying efforts, etc.) that reflects Clean Transportation’s positions. Clearly and concisely formulate and articulate positions on various topics including long-term goals, rates, energy storage and solar. Work product will include writing testimony, whitepapers, summaries and other products that will help inform business decisions of the department and develop strategies.
  • Conduct research and assess market developments, including those on electric vehicle charging infrastructure evolution, electric vehicle development across all vehicle segments, research on other infrastructure development entities (i.e., VW Settlement – Electrify America), research industry reports, examination of the intersection with energy storage, demand response and other supporting technologies. Provide expertise to inform filings and business development strategies and decisions.
  • Build and foster relationships with program participants and market participants. Develop and support customer and community relationships. Develop relationships with community organizations to help secure community support for clean transportation initiatives and applications.
  • Organize customer outreach and support meetings with stakeholders. Conduct workshops and forums to help inform potential customers who might want to participate Clean Transportation electric vehicle program. This includes creating PowerPoints, coordinating logistics for events and other tasks to ensure a productive forum to educate customers about electric vehicles and state incentive programs to help encourage adoption of electric vehicles.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments to effectively implement and “stand up” Clean Transportation programs, to ensure success metrics are met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Engineering, Economics, Business, Accounting, Political Science, law, public policy or related or equivalent training and/or experience.
  • 3-4+ years – Related experience.
  • Strong writing and critical thinking/analysis skills are required.
  • Must be proactive and have strong follow through.
  • Must be able to draft high quality work including testimony, summaries, whitepapers and other products as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand industry developments and convey pertinent information to help inform filings and business development strategies and decisions.
  • Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.
  • We offer a hybrid work environment. Although the schedule may vary, typically this will allow you to work from the office two to three days per week and work remotely on the remaining workdays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Thorough working knowledge of the energy industry and the changing business and technology environment is preferred.

Work Schedule
HYBRID: Work a combination of onsite and remote days each week, typically 2-3 days per week.
Salary Range
$93,800.00 – $140,700.00
