About LAWC
Luton All Women’s Centre (LAWC) is a leading provider of services for women in Luton. The centre offers a safe space for women whether they are attending 1-1 counselling sessions, taking part in groups and activities, using the IT suite or just dropping in for a drink and a chat.
Our discrete services are structured around domestic abuse, forced marriage, honour based violence and mental wellbeing. The organisation is currently wholly dependent on grant funding.
About the role
You will be passionate about women’s issues. Your passion will be informed and driven by a nuanced understanding of the political factors that affect women’s lives, both locally and nationally.
You will have a strong ability to think and work strategically. You will be used to “horizon scanning” to identify and create new business opportunities. These abilities will complement, support and direct your procurement of funding (with the support of our bid writer) and identifying new income streams.
You will be an experienced leader and manager; creating working environments that empower and develop staff, facilitate operational delivery and achieve strategic goals.
