Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Cashier. As an integral part of our operations, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure our customers receive excellent service. Whether it’s processing payments, assisting with customer inquiries, or maintaining a clean and organized work environment, your role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who visits our store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Cash Register: Efficiently handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and process payments for goods and services.
- Payment Processing: Accurately tabulate total payments required, receive payments, and reconcile daily/shift transactions with total sales.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist with seat selection for theatre patrons, and accept reservations or take-out orders.
- Merchandising: Stock shelves, clean counter areas, wrap merchandise, and bag items for customers.
- Product Handling: Weigh produce and bulk foods, and calculate foreign currency exchange.
- Compliance: Verify customer age for the purchase of lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
Requirements:
- Languages: Proficiency in English is required.
- Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma is necessary.
- Experience: No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Workplace Information: This position is on-site, requiring work to be completed at our physical location in Lone Butte, BC. There is no option for remote work.
