TITLE: Campaign Coordinator
LOCATION: Sacramento, CA
CLASSIFICATION: Full-time, Exempt
REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President of Public Affairs
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Campaign Coordinator coordinates public affairs and electoral activities on behalf of California Planned Parenthood Education Fund (CPPEF) Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California (PPAC) and is a member of the Communications, Campaign, and Advocacy Team. They are primarily responsible for assisting Public Affairs leadership with political and electoral activities, grassroots outreach, and advocacy projects, as well as providing input on communications and events. The role also supports the general team work with compliance, tracking, and other necessary administrative work.
• Assist with development and management of political, electoral, and advocacy campaigns and efforts
• Assist Public Affairs team in planning and execution of large scale organizing and advocacy events including conferences, lobby days, days of action, and retreats.
• Supports the development and management of political and campaign resources including but not limited to factsheets, databases, media/communications, and research on policy issues and officials.
• Conduct administrative processes for electoral work including tracking political spending and monitoring candidates and ballot measures.
• Assist with internal communications regarding field activities, including reports, newsletters, and updates to senior staff.
• Act as a liaison between PPAC and affiliate organizers and other public affairs staff as needed.
• Develop proficient knowledge and provide support to online organizing tools
• Coordinate agenda, calendar items, and notes for Public Affairs related workgroups and standing meetings
• Provide departmental administrative support
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Belief and commitment to CPPEF / PPAC’s mission and values
• Ability to understand issues related to sexual education, reproductive health, and reproductive justice
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, preferably in both English and Spanish
• Experience with statewide digital organizing, campaigns, and the electoral process
• Familiarity with legislative process preferred
• Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and act independently and demonstrate sound judgment
• Ability to work outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to travel frequently (mostly within the state)
• Knowledge of diverse groups, working within a multicultural workforce, and sensitivity and appreciation to cultural differences is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Familiar with online organizing tools and platforms
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or requisite exemption
ORGANIZATIONS BACKGROUND AND VALUES
This position works for two organizations: Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California (PPAC) and California Planned Parenthood Education Fund (CPPEF). Together these organizations support and handle the statewide public policy advocacy and electoral work for California’s seven separately incorporated Planned Parenthood Affiliates. These Affiliates operate over 100 health centers in California and provide more than 1.3 million patient visits annually.
PPAC (a 501(c)(4) organization) follows state and federal legislation in a number of public policy arenas. It leads the policy, legislative, and electoral work for the California Affiliates and coordinates advocacy campaigns. CPPEF (a 501(c)(3) organization) promotes education, counseling, and clinical services in the fields of sexual and reproductive health and family planning, as well as other health care services provided by the Affiliates including primary care and behavioral health.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary range $65,000 to $85,000, DOE.
