JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION

br /> The Software Automation Tester serves as the primary resource for automating the GUI, functionality and load/performance test scenarios for multiple web applications. They are responsible for developing automated tests testing suite and creating automated GUI regression, functional and load/performance tests for multiple projects. They will work
closely with the project team to determine the scope of testing required on a given project and to create reports for analysis. They will also writes test plans and test cases in Quality Center from business requirements, executes both manual and automated test cases, provides testing status, tracks software defects /enhancements, and verifies software fixes. They will also work in close collaboration with scrum teams to assist in the reproduction and resolution of defects. The majority of testing efforts center around Web based applications and API.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • li>Develops, maintains, and upgrades Automated and Manual test scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets and other programmatic test tools required to execute test plans.
    • Contributes to automation framework updates and enhancements
    • Perform usability testing for total system performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
    • Effectively communicates testing activities and findings in oral and written forms.
    • Controls and manages own daily test activities.
    • Be an active participant on a Scrum team and contributing to the success of that team’s deliverables
    • Provides internal test automation.
    • Supports test lead to identify risks and develops mitigation strategies.
    • Organizes and maintains the test automation library.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Knowledge of methods, tools, and technology used in software test automation
    • Experience with TFS/Git/Jenkins
    • Experience with Selenium/Eclipse
    • Experience with Gherkin Tools (i.e. SpecFlow and/or Cucumber)
    • Knowledge and use of quality management methods, tools, and technology used to create and support defect-free, application software that meets the needs of the client/business partner
    • Knowledge of the basic principles, processes, phases and roles of application development methodologies
    • Knowledge of primary database engines with a demonstrated ability to write complex queries to be used for data v
      alidat
      ion and troubleshooting
    • Knowledge of object-oriented development tools, techniques, and principles with expertise in at least one (1) object-oriented language
    • Skill in understanding and focusing on the clients’ needs
    • Skill in analysis, solid decision-making and problem-solving
    • Ability to work in an agile development environment where developers and testing personnel work closely together to ensure requirements are met or exceeded
    • Ability to deliver results under pressure
    • Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding skills, working with technical and non-technical individuals

    • Experience with API and Web Services Automation

PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
    • Experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery)
    • Experience with Cloud Technologies (i.e. AWS or Azure DevOps)
    • Experience with coding languages (I.e. C#, Java, JavaScript, vbScript, Python)

Advanced professional role. Highly skilled with extensive proficiency. Develops large and/or complex so

at require analysis and research. Works on multiple projects as a project leader or frequently as the subject matter expert. Works on projects/issues of medium to high complexity that require demonstrated knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments. Coaches and mentors more junior technical staff. Works under minimal supervision on complex projects. Wide latitude for independent judgment. Typically requires six (6) or more years of demonstrated experience in software testing.

Although target pay range may vary by work location, a representative pay range for Colorado residents is: $75,000 – $110,000. te in the discretionary annual performance bonus.
