Position Overview

This role is ideal for an attorney who combines solid family law experience with emotional intelligence, strong advocacy skills, and respect for the lived experiences clients bring into the legal process.

You will manage a meaningful caseload while working in a collaborative, all-female attorney environment that prioritizes sustainable practice and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and protective orders

Draft pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements

Appear in Utah state courts for hearings, mediations, and trials

Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients

Develop case strategies and manage deadlines from intake through resolution

Collaborate with and supervise paralegals and legal assistants

Maintain ethical, organized, and timely case management

Qualifications

Active Utah State Bar membership (or ability to obtain within 6 months)

3+ years of Utah family law experience preferred (1+ year considered for strong candidates)

Strong writing, advocacy, and negotiation skills

Ability to manage a full caseload independently

Commitment to ethical, client-focused representation

Comfort working in an all-female attorney team environment

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Work Location & Accessibility

This position requires regular in-person presence in Salt Lake City due to court appearances, client meetings, and team collaboration. Hybrid flexibility may be available after 90 days.
