Full-Time Associate Director, Brand Strategy and Commercial Excellence
Job Description
- Build a culture of self-service analytics, measurement, accountability, and data driven decision making across FERRING. Empower key FERRING stakeholders and functional leads to address standard business questions
- Proactively engage with senior leadership in developing data-driven frameworks for setting performance expectations and making critical business decisions that will set the long-term direction for FERRING
- Develop productive relationships across the organization to influence how the Brand Strategy and Commercial Effectiveness team can enable new sources of value, frame business problems into analytical questions, and influence strategic decision-making by presenting sophisticated data analytics in a simple, clear, and meaningful way with focus on action
- Develop benchmarking assessment tools to evaluate business performance against business goals and objectives. Devise root-cause analyses that provide an understanding for deviations from business objectives and performance expectations
- Establish a program of change to build organizational capability and break down silos between analytical functions and business units
- Develop actionable insights that integrate internal research and analytics with external industry knowledge
- Drive the delivery and adoption of a robust, reliable, automated reporting and data platform that empowers and informs all areas of our business beyond our teams
- Keep abreast of pharmaceutical industry trends, performance measurement, methodologies, and technologies
- Bridge the technical expertise that underlies complex analytics with the goal of surfacing insights that show value to our business partners, and that will inform business strategy
- Elevate analytical engagement through partnership with the Data Science and Strategy Team: identify, design, develop, implement, and support enterprise analytics solutions
- Identify areas of process improvements, automation, and data governance to optimize resources.
- Oversee relationships with major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization
- Be an active participant on the Analytics and Insights leadership team and shape the competencies and culture of the commercial organization.
- Provide leadership, vision, and direction to the Brand Strategy team to ensure it will contribute to the company achieving its commercial goals
- Manage Brand Strategy and Commercial Effectiveness team personnel, providing helpful feedback, coaching, mentoring, influential leadership, to help the team to develop their skills and reach their full potential
- Identify development opportunities and build on existing recruitment capabilities to ensure the proper mix of skills including core business reporting, business alignment, data analysis and integrity, data science, project delivery, and technological maintenance
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in business management, finance, statistics, or a related field
- 8+ years experience in progressively responsible roles within the analytics function
- Excellent influencing, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to influence and interact at multiple levels of the organization, manage multiple priorities with competing demands for resources, and drive decisions that lead to positive outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to effectively coach, mentor and develop staff
- Strong analytical, business acumen, and problem-solving skills with hands on experience with technologies such as SQL, SAS, R, Tableau, Power BI
- Proven ability to socialize relevant insights and takeaways more broadly and influence business decisions and priorities
- A proven track record of elevating analytical engagement: identifying, designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise analytics solutions
- Demonstrated ability to optimize resources through automation of current processes and identification of outsourced support when needed
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and external factors influencing market dynamics
- Experience working with Ferring therapeutic areas, buy-and-bill, and retail channels preferred
- Experience in participation in commercial product launches preferred
- Highly developed communication skills with the ability to story-tell using data and influence executive leadership in a way that can bridge between a wide range of stakeholders (technical and non-technical) at all levels
- Strong ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities, and work on cross functional teams
