Would you enjoy supporting the Aquatics department?  As the Aquatics Program Coordinator, you will coordinate and provide administrative support. Facilitate program delivery by assisting where needed. Provide administrative support including but not limited to distribution, processing, and maintenance of all paperwork, records, reports, memos, correspondence, inventory, and resupply. You will provide a quality experience to members and participants focused on YMCA core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

If hired, some additional duties may include:

  • Lead various program areas as directed
  • Assist with the instruction and supervision of staff and volunteers
  • Assist with scheduling
  • Maintain an electronic filing system for Aquatics programs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in lifeguarding and swim instruction.
  • One to two years related experience preferred, as a coordinator of people or activities.
  • Positive attitude and previous experience with diverse populations.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in customer service, public relations, organizational skills, communications, supervision, computer knowledge, and file maintenance.
  • Knowledge of current aquatic safety and program standards, latest trends in aquatics and the ability to articulate and incorporate them.
  • YMCA or other Lifeguard Certification required or able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications.
  • Complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day.  Complete other online and in-person training as required.

Starting Wage:  $18.24+ – Depending on experience

Hours: Part Time – Up to 25 hours per week
