JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION

F

acilitates training, coaches, collaborates, and mentors Black Knight teams throughout the transformation process. Identifies training needs and develops training roadmaps and plans. Facilitates specialized training specific to selected agile methodologies while providing coaching support at various levels in the organization. Responsible for guiding teams through the implementation process and champions the agile method throughout the organization. Coordinates and coaches teams within the framework of agile methodology, specific to SAFe, Scrum, Lean and Kanban. Reports to the Agile Transformation Lead within technology.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Facilitate the learning and adoption of Agile methods and practices by individuals and teams as they gain insights and experience with Agile concepts.
    • Conducts training needs assessments to understand characteristics and skill level of learners, the job setting, and to

      entify the processes and tasks performed by system users.
    • Determines appropriate instructional strategy based on results of needs assessment. Develops in-house training where needed.
    • Designs new or modifies existing instructional materials for multiple training modalities including traditional instructor-led classes, web-based/virtual classes, and job-aids.
    • Conducts traditional classroom or web-based training sessions, using effective presentation skills, verbal communication skills, and classroom management skills at Black Knight facilities or client locations.
    • Assesses training outcomes by soliciting and reviewing feedback and evaluation of classes taught.
    • Develops and manages content and parameters of training banks including account and scenario setup, product definition across multiple applications, and security.
    • Has content management over centralized artifacts associated with agile training, maturity and adoption me
      tric
      s as well as Agile Release Train readiness activity tracking and launches.
    • Launches, stabilizes, and optimizes new agile teams and release trains.
    • Coaches and demonstrates the facilitation of core agile practices including but not limited to:
        • Kanban
        • Agile ceremonies
        • Iteration/sprint planning
        • Release planning (Program Increment)
        • Story writing and grooming
        • Story distribution practices including estimation
        • Metrics
    • Creates an environment of collaboration and open dialogue within Black Knight teams to facilitate productive conflict resolution.
    • Champions continuous improvement activities by utilizing feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to reduce waste and increase productivity.
    • Provides direction on the development of technology enablers in support of automation and CICD strategy as it pertains to SAFe, including but not limited to adopt
      ion of
      incremental compliance models and DevOps.
    • Distributes and leverages maturity assessments and performance metrics to determine coaching needs.
    • Supports enterprise scalability through coaching and standardization through the portfolio level of SAFe, including oversight and consult upon establishing a Lean Portfolio management operating model in SAFe.
    • Promotes work management standards through coaching to ensure consistency across the organization.
    • Facilitates seamless collaboration and maximizes team performance by driving continuous improvement within assigned technical and/or non-technical team(s) to ensure rapid and timely delivery of business value (experience, product, and/or service) and achievement of goals.
    • Removes impediments to team progress whether internal to the team or organizational in nature. When necessary, escalates impediments to facilitate rapid resolution.
    • Supports, coaches and educates product mana
      gement a
      nd business owners, especially with respect to refining and managing the product backlog and decision-making.
    • Ensures effective communication within and across teams. Influences and facilitates the empowerment of a self-organizing team. Schedules and facilitates cross-functional meetings. Ensures appropriate progress tools, information radiators, and reports effectively provide transparency on team’s progress/productivity.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) Certification required.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Experience in instructing or delivering SAFe certified courses and workshops and coaching people across teams
    • Knowledgeable of TFS 2015 or later and the concept of ag
      ile work m
      anagement standards preferred.
    • Possesses continuous-learning mindset and willingness to deliver ad hoc training
    • Self-regulated, able to work with multiple personality types to keep teams focused on delivery, while remaining neutral under pressure
    • Knowledge of and experience with the application of agile values, principles, and practices including SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.
    • Excellent track record of working with applying agile collaboration tools.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; clear, tactful, and constructive
    • Effective presentation, interpersonal and classroom management skills.
    • Strong time management skills with flexibility, versatility, dependability
    • Must be highly organized. Ability to prioritize and complete tasks with a keen attention to detail
    • Ability to create and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the enterprise.
    • Demo
      nstrated und
      erstanding of Unit Test-Driven Development and Acceptance Test-Driven Development and how to integrate it into agile delivery practices.
    • Experience working on large-scale transformation programs.
    • Agile or professional coaching certification.
    • Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certifications.
    • SAFe certified or other scaled agile frameworks.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence change at the leadership level and team level.

Agile Coach

Advanced professional role. Highly skilled, demonstrates extensive proficiency. Conducts training in standard and/or custom multi-day Agile courses. Works with Scrum teams that span a portfolio, providing guidance around the application of lean agile practices and processes. Coordinates and coaches teams within the framework of agile methodology, specific to SAFe, Scrum, Lean and Kanban. Works as a servant-leader, supporting agile principles and process rules.
Subject matte
r expert in the application of SAFe at all levels and mentor to less experienced peers. Acts independently and without considerable direction and exerts significant latitude in determining the objectives of the assignment. Typically requires a minimum of five (5) or more years of related work experience with at least two (2) years experience in technology and working in an agile environment. Experience in instructing or delivery learning content via courses and w
orkshops. Knowledgeable of TFS as an agile work management system preferred.
