Job Description
Account Manager
Responsible for providing a high-level of client service support and serves as a key contributor to the sales team by supporting digital sales efforts. Responsible for managing accounts and maximizing the performance of advertisers in their portfolio.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
• Manages the day-to-day execution of larger ongoing accounts and campaigns to meet revenue goals and reduce customer turnover.
• Develops, implements, and manages sales optimization and retention strategies.
• Educates advertisers on effective campaign solutions to drive sales/ business goals.
• Proactively optimizes digital campaigns to achieve targets.
• Generates reports and interprets campaign and account performance data to determine sales effectiveness.
• Develops and provides customer focused communications on sales performance including effectiveness of targeting and strategy.
• Liaison with sales, content, marketing, and others regarding planning and prioritization to assist in execution of the campaigns.
• Attends and participates in training and planning sessions.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required, or equivalent experience required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in online media planning and client service or related roles
• Demonstrated record of success in a goal oriented, highly accountable sales environment
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
• Expert knowledge and understanding of the execution and optimization of digital products such as SEM, Network display, pre-roll video,
paid social advertising (e.g. Facebook), SEO, etc.
• Demonstrated experience in analyzing and presenting data in an easy-to-interpret format
• Strong knowledge of digital campaign traffic management
• Experience in site research tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Omniture, ComScore, etc.)
• Ability to use data to monitor product effectiveness
• Skilled in presenting recommendations for advertiser solutions
• Ability to generate reports, business correspondence, and presentations
• Must have good organization skills
• Strong ability to meet deadlines
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office and other programs such as customer relations software
