Job Description

We are looking for a talented Diagnostic Specialist to join our team specializing in hydrogen fuel cell power systems technology for our #NewPower Business Unit in Mississauga, Ontario.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Develop techniques, protocols for ex-situ characterization of MEA and subcomponents.
• Develop FMEA, FTA for MEA degradation and failure investigation including durability protocols.
• Interact with stack team to develop robust test protocol for MEA degradation and failure investigation.
• Failure analysis of the GDL, MEA, Catalyst, bipolar plate for product improvement
• Physical and Electrochemical characterization both In-situ and Ex-Situ of the MEA and its subcomponents.
• Strong interface with testing team by developing critical protocols for MEA characterization, durability and reliability.
• Participate in writing winning proposals to various government bodies.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Advanced degree required (PhD or Master) in Electrochemistry.
• Deep knowledge on the working principles of Fuel Cell and Electrolyzer products
• Understanding and working principles of microscopy like high resolution optical microscope, SEM (EDAX), TEM, sample prep for the same.
• Prior experience in a global matrix organization in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
• MATLAB/Python experience is preferred
• Excellent communication skills.
