LOCATION: This job is fully remote eligible within the United States. If located in Jacksonville, FL, some onsite may be required.

JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the analysis, development, modification, installation, testing and maintenance of ServiceNow platform focused on CMDB, Asset Management and Discovery.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for creating, implementing, and enforcing the Configuration Management policies and standards.
  • Ensures that standardized methods and procedures are used for identifying, recording, maintaining, reporting on, and verifying IT asset configurations and associated documentation.
  • Plans the population of the CMDB; manages the CMDB, central libraries, tools, common codes and data; ensures CMDB data is current and accurate.
  • Leads the implementation of the discovery process.
  • Owns the process by which relationships are created and updated in the CMDB, such as key IT and business services and applications to servers and databases.
  • Understands best practices and determines optimized procedures for updating CI data including the use of automated processes, discovery tools/integrations with other data sources, and manual input processes as necessary.
  • Generates reporting including configuration status, license consumption, license entitlement, warranty, and other IT asset reporting.
  • Defines and discerns key aspects of problems that require analysis and research within ServiceNow, and develops an integrated solution within a broad technical and business context of significant or strategic impact to the enterprise.
  • Evaluates vendor-supplied software packages and makes recommendations to IT management.
  • Monitors systems capacity and performance, plans and executes disaster recovery procedures, and provides Tier 2 technical support for ServiceNow CMDB.
  • Performs other duties as required.

EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

ITIL certification is strongly preferred.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Understanding of ITSM best-practice processes, with Configuration Management and Asset Management experience
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard Change, Configuration and Asset Management system tools, preferably within the ServiceNow environment
  • Experience with an environmental discovery tool (i.e. ServiceNow, BigFix, etc.) highly desired
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow’s Common Services Data Model (CSDM)
  • Basic scripting experience such as javascript highly desired
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and principles desired
  • Data Normalization import/export experience desired
  • ServiceNow administration experience desired
  • Experience supporting ServiceNow
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop partnership-oriented relationships with business executives and functional leaders, especially as it relates to operations and technology
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with focus on timeliness, documentation, and communications with peers and business users alike
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels within Black Knight or outside the organization (executives, regulators, clients, etc.)
  • Results oriented, business focused, and successful at interfacing across multiple organizational units

Works on varied and complex tasks, projects, activities or support issues that require in-depth skill in multiple technical environments, knowledge in one or more specific business areas and expertise in multiple products/systems. Defines and discerns key aspects of problems that require analysis and research, and develops a solution within a broad technical and business context of significant impact to one or more business segments. Develops solutions requiring complex analysis and research. May coach and/or mentor more junior technical staff. Typically requires six (6) years of experience in systems administration and programming.
