Westbrook Media, our digital marketing studio, is looking for a Creative Director with extensive brand, digital, social experience to lead the marketing creative team. The Creative Director is the creative leader responsible for guiding the insight, inspiration and practices that transform a campaign’s creative strategy into bold, engaging content, from development to execution. They must masterfully balance the needs of the audience and brand, and direct the project teams’ work toward best possible outcomes.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the creative pitches for all brand and entertainment projects
- Build and pitch proposals that solve client objectives through creative writing and visual storytelling
- Partner with strategy and production teams to help ideate and brainstorm the right ideas in the pitch phase; post sale, evolve their strategies into actionable creative concepts
- Lead creative decision making on assigned campaigns: Oversee and guide the development from treatments to scripts to final edits to distribution; maintain accountability for the success of the campaign
- Successfully manage a project team of creatives and freelancers — writers, designers, editors, animators — and direct their work toward best possible outcomes
- Work closely with social, production and accounts team to ensure cohesion and quality across all elements of the campaign
- Partner with clients throughout the production process to maintain balance between the campaign’s KPI and Creative’s creative vision & best practices
- Work closely with SVP, Marketing & Entertainment to continuously bring new ideas to the table for strategic clients: experiment, iterate, and perfect
Who You Are:
- 10+ years experience in digital media, social or creative agency background
- An understanding of and active interest in branded content and advertising
- A proven ability to tell unexpected stories in thoughtful, unique ways across multiple platforms
- Articulates creative ideas well using succinct and powerful write-ups, scripts, manifestos.
- Seasoned experience in production – video, still photography, experiential (a plus)
- Expertise in working with producers, directors, copywriters, designers, and animators
- Highly collaborative with an ability to work cross functionally
- Thrives in a high-pressure environment, juggling multiple, diverse projects on overlapping deadlines
- A great sense of leadership, humor, self-motivation, eagerness to create boundary-pushing work
- A passion for culture and entertainment with a pulse on trends
- Curiosity, quirkiness, and unique point of view
