Job description
The C17CSAE Delivery Team are currently looking for an experienced Engineering Focal Point to join them.
With Delivery Management (DM) responsibilities, you will utilise your excellent engineering and customer engagement skills as the interface between the maintenance organisation(s) and the Delivery Team (DT) back office, supporting them and providing advice and guidance to prioritise and field technical queries amongst other responsibilities.
Our Aerospace Engineering Focal Point will balance the needs of delivering contracted maintenance to ensure aircraft availability, in conjunction with the steps to be taken to meet airworthiness standards.
Please note that although based in Northolt– this role may require regular travel to other sites at least once per week and routine engagement with other members of the Team at other locations.

Responsibilities
As our Engineering Focal Point, you will provide expert advice and guidance in your own technical area in order to solve complex technical problems and identify application risks, using your engineering, safety and applicable regulations knowledge.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships internally within the DT and externally with the Aircraft Maintenance Organisation (AMO), the Military Maintenance Organisation (MMO) and other Industry Organisations (such as the platform or commodity Design Organisations, specialist contractors and Requirements and Capability leads).
Monitor existing and implement any new policies as required in support of wider platform safety assurance, ensuring a robust governance process is established and maintained
You will also be responsible for coordinating and monitoring all delivery area quality management and assurance activities, including contract quality performance.
What you will be assessed against
To be found successful you must demonstrate the following essential criteria:
• An Engineering or Science qualification held at Level 4, or equivalent experience in industry (Aerospace).
• Experience of providing technical advice and leading the delivery of successful engineering outcomes within the aerospace industry.
• Wide ranging depth and breadth of technical experience in own specialism with knowledge and application of Systems Engineering approaches.
